Some Trailers and stuff

  1.  Dr Okun’s back
  2.  Westworld teaser
  3. New theme music for Ghostbusters
  4. Final Star Trek Beyond Trailer

  1. HE’S BAAACK. ScienceFiction.com explains how Dr. Okun’s been down for the count almost as long as Captain America – “Okun’s Razor: New ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ Featurette Explains The Return Of Dr. Okum”.

Of course, the alien attacked the doctor and took over his mind, using him to communicate with the other people outside the laboratory, and the encounter ended with men having to shoot the alien before it hurt the president, all of which left Dr. Okun comatose on the floor.

According to the new featurette released, Dr. Okun did not actually die that day. Apparently he was just left in a vegetative state, a coma, for the past twenty years, leaving him prime to be woken up by contact with new alien minds as the aliens return in the new film.

2) WESTWORLD TEASER TRAILER. Westworld is coming to HBO in October 2016.

3)  Yahoo! Movies describes the Ghostbusters theme remake.

Paul Feig’s reboot of Ghostbusters gives everything a full redo — including, it turns out, the classic, catchy, campy theme song by Ray Parker Jr. The theme song as revamped by Fall Out Boy with Missy Elliott, released this morning (hear it above), abandons the bright pop past in favor of a darker guitar-heavy dose of alternative/mid-2000s emo angst. Be prepared to hear this song in various Hot Topics for the next couple of weeks/months/years.

Not that my opinion counts for much, but I HATE IT ! Have a listen, what do you think?

4) Final Star Trek Beyond Trailer

Star Trek Beyond is coming to theatres July 22.

Independence Day, on June 24th?

Here’s what was wrong with the first Independence Day, in under six minutes. Coke? And again, Coke?? Gosh, if the ships were that big, I could see them from my backyard telescope, from under a street lamp. I hope they do better in Resurgence, And I expect reviews from everyone in time for the next WARP!

We always knew they were coming back. After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.

Independence Day: trailers galore.

There are so many trailers and teasers on Youtube for Independence Day, I wonder if there will be anything left to see in the theatre.

Here’s one at least that shows some real heroes! Needless to say, my husband found it first. He’d no idea about the movie, but Manunited saving the world sounded like a good idea to him.  Wayne on point? Of course! And Blind, btw, rhymes with wind.

  • Independence Day Second Trailer
  • Steampunk Decor
  • Sophie & Doug visit Narnia–too late.

Independence Day--apparently, he’s not dead, Jim, and the aliens might have updated their virus protection.

Steampunk Decor—  Years ago, when i was still chairing Con*Cept, I suggested a Steampunk theme and GoH. One of the concom predicted the imminent demise of the “fad”. Well, the fad is not dead yet, either. Or else maybe the Gazette is late catching up to it?  Read about it in the Montreal Gazette, Page H7, or  Read the article from the Montreal Gazette here.

Sophie and Doug in Narnia— Well, this is kinda sad… I had to use a magnifier to be sure, but yes, that is the poor Faun sobbing.  Looks like Uncle Andrew got his way…
