World Con 2018 NASFiC 2017

  1. World Con 2018 to be hosted by San Jose
  2. NASFiC 2017 to be hosted by San Juan, Puerto Rico
  1. San Jose won over New Orleans in site selection vote for 2018. Both cities have hosted a WC in the past.

Oddly, this WC like World Con 76 (Helsinki) seems to have decided not to give their event a name.  Personally, I always liked the notion of every WC having a unique name, such as Chicon, Anticipation, Sasquan and so on.  Ten years from now, will I remember where on earth the 76th World Con was held?  Or even when?

2. NASFiC 2017 to be hosted by San Juan, Puerto Rico

When the World Con is being hosted outside the US, there are bids made for a NASFiC–A North American Science Fiction  Convention. World Con 2017 will be in Helsinki, hence a bid for a NASFiC,

San Juan’s bid won over that of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
