See Learn Academy – Stop motion course registration

Want to improve your stop-motion, but don’t know how? Stop guessing and learn stop motion through feedback. From June 15-21 registration is open for the See Learn Stop Motion Animation Level 1!

Follow industry veterans Dale Hayward and Sylvie Trouvé (See Creature, Montreal) as they guide you through 8 Video lessons reviewing the principles of animation and explaining the fundamentals of stop motion production. Watch behind the scenes of actual productions and use PDF checklists and cheat-sheets to help guide you along the way. Each lesson will have 2 to 4 assignments and once submitted you’ll get personalized video critiques into not just WHAT you need to improve but HOW. At the end of the course, there’s also a bonus video call with the teachers!

Festival Stop Motion Montreal at MIFA 2020

The Annecy International Animated Film Festival starts its 44th edition honoring the African continent! We are pleased to participate for a second edition in the activity called Meet the film programmers.

Also, there are 24 stop motion titles to discover among the 200 films in competition, plus a Montreal virtual reality experience: The Orchid and the Bee.

ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum and FSMM, a growing partnership

ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum is an event that caters to the representatives of the animation film industry, specifically those focused on puppet animation. The programme line-up is concentrated on the recent and most important challenges in the production of stop motion animation. The major principles of ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum is to gather the international stop motion industry, give opportunities for networking between animation filmmakers, producers, broadcasters, distributors, service providers and investors and to support and offer a wide range of educational activities.

The three main sections of ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum are:

PITCHING – a competition for shoort puppet animation projects in development; MASTERS series of workshops, masterclasses and discussions targeted for students and young professionals and BUSINESS – focusing on the industry networking and B2B meetings (Business-to-Business).

ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum is organized by MOMAKIN, a business partner in the animation industry specializing in stop motion. This year’s 5th edition will be held on October, 6th-10th in Łódź, Poland.
