We’re halfway through the voting window for the 2023 Fanzine Activity Achievement (FAAn) Awards, so consider this your halftime pep talk (with apologies to those who have already returned their ballots. of course).

Boilerplate:
Attached is The Incompleat Register 2022, the voters’ guide and pro forma ballot for the 2023 FAAn awards, fanzine fandom’s only dedicated honors.

The voting deadline is midnight (Pacific time) Friday March 10 2023, and ballots must be received by then (please note this if you’re sending by snail mail). Your own name and contact details should also be clearly supplied.

The awards will be announced at Corflu Craic in Belfast, Northern Ireland on April 2 2023.

Voting is open to anyone with an interest in fanzines, no memberships of anything are required.

Publicity is welcomed. Feel free to share and distribute this as far and wide as you like.

Dust off your dictionaries and grab that hairbrush microphone! Today, ABC announced “Schoolhouse Rock! 50th Anniversary Singalong,” the fifth installment of its successful “Singalong” franchise, with Emmy®-winning television host Ryan Seacrest, airing WEDNESDAY, FEB. 1 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST). “Schoolhouse Rock! 50th Anniversary Singalong” will air on ABC and stream next day on Hulu and at a later date on Disney+. ABC is taking viewers to school, inviting friends and family around the county to gather and enjoy classic “Schoolhouse Rock!” hits that are as educational as they are catchy, all in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the beloved series. “Schoolhouse Rock! 50th Anniversary Singalong” performances include the following:

Montreal Area Event / Convention

Scintillation 4 announced

Jo Walton has announced the dates for Scintillation 4.

Scintillation 4 will take place on the 9th to the 11th of June, at the Chinatown Holiday Inn in Montreal. Room bookings are now open, Registration closes on May 31, or earlier if capacity is reached.

NOTE: There will be no at door memberships sold.
