If you are planning to travel from Montreal to the South Shore this \"\"<\/a>weekend, plan ahead as three of the four major spans will be affected by major road work.<\/p>\n

Mercier Bridge:<\/strong> The bridge will undergo repair and maintenance work between 1 a.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Monday. The span toward Kahnawake will be closed and only one lane in the opposite direction will be open. By default, the same work will close the entrance to Airlie St. where the roadway connects with Highway 138. Exit 63 on Highway 20 westbound (connecting motorists to the bridge as well as 1st. Ave and Dollard Ave.) will also be closed.<\/p>\n

Highway 25:<\/strong> The southbound section of the Louis-Hippolyte-Lafontaine Tunnel<\/strong> will be completely closed on Sunday from midnight to 9 a.m., with no traffic between Exit 4 (to downtown Montreal) and Highway 132 on the South Shore. A detour will direct motorists to the Jacques Cartier Bridge.<\/p>\n

Highway 10:<\/strong> A long section of Highway 10 west on the South Shore, from Highway 30 to the Champlain Bridge,<\/strong> will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. A detour will direct motorists to Highway 30 west to Matte Blvd. and then east along Highway 132 to the Champlain Bridge. A section of Highway 10 east toward the Champlain Bridge will also be closed from 5 a.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. A detour will take motorists to Ga\u00e9tan Laberge Blvd. to the new entrance for Highway 15 south.<\/p>\n

Turcot Interchange:<\/strong> The sections of the Turcot that connect motorists on Highway 20 eastbound to Highway 15 north, and from Highway 15 south to Highway 20 west, will be closed from 7 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday. The ramps connecting Highway 720 and the D\u00e9carie Expressway in both directions will also be closed, from 11:59 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Work in the same area will force the closure of Notre-Dame St. W., between de Carillon Ave. and Monk Blvd., that is directly underneath a section of the Turcot Interchange.<\/p>\n

Highway 13\/40 interchange:<\/strong> A section of Highway 13 south,<\/strong> between Exit 6 and the entrance to Highway 40 east, will be closed from 10 p.m. on Friday to 10 a.m. on Saturday. The ramp connecting Highway 40 west to Highway 13 south will be closed during the same time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
