Most surprising about this cancelation is that no one saw it coming, since the show has been running successfully for eight seasons. It stars Nathan Fillion as mystery novelist and NYPD aid Richard Castle who, after working with her on a case, decides to use Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) as a muse for his next novel. While shadowing her work, a romance blossoms. Katic had confirmed her departure from the show, reportedly amidst a feud with Fillion, which may have contributed to the network’s decision to cancel Castle<\/em>\u00a0altogether. Nevertheless, the series\u00a0had a good 173 episodes. The finale aired on May 16, and wrapped up the story with a nice send-off for loyal viewers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
