\"\"<\/a>MonSFFA\u2019s next meeting<\/strong> is scheduled to take place in one week, on Saturday, September 19<\/strong>, from 1:00PM to 5:00PM! We\u2019ll be gathering in our familiar downtown, Nouvel Hotel meeting room.<\/p>\n

As usual, out-of-town club members<\/strong> may take part online<\/strong> via ZOOM<\/strong>; you may gather online a half-hour early, at 12:30PM, just to give you an opportunity to settle in before the meeting officially begins at 1:00PM.<\/p>\n

Sci-Fi B-Movie Purgatory!<\/span>\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

We revel in the worst of sci-fi B-movies<\/strong>, examining our favourite \u201cso-bad-they\u2019re-good\u201d (for a laugh!) examples, while touching upon, as well, those that truly transcend the type!<\/p>\n

Guest Speaker!<\/span>\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

We welcome<\/strong> via ZOOM Canadian SF author Sean Robins<\/strong> for a discussion of themes explored in his latest series, about a combat android that gains consciousness! Sean has written 46 books over six series, and sold some 200,000 copies; he will also talk about his writing career in general. Sean\u2019s latest, his \u201cI, Anomaly\u201d series, is available on Amazon: https:\/\/mybook.to\/YqPCYkm<\/a><\/p>\n

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly!<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

We examine SF\u2019s doctors and scientists<\/strong>, from Frankenstein to Forrester, Moreau to McCoy!\u2014the heroes, the villains, those who fall somewhere in between, and those who are just plain mad!<\/p>\n

Meeting Theme<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

And, we\u2019re asking club members to raid their collections and lend to<\/strong> our display table<\/strong> for the afternoon any novels, comic books, magazines, or collectibles inspired by sci-fi B-movies!<\/strong><\/p>\n
