We will convene at our downtown meeting locale<\/strong>, Le Nouvel Hotel, 1740 Rene-Levesque Ouest<\/strong> (corner St-Mathieu).<\/p>\n

Please take note<\/strong>: we will be gathering on this occasion, as we did last month, in the \u201cFaubourg\u201d meeting room<\/strong>, just down the hall from our usual \u201cMaisonneuve\u201d room.<\/em><\/p>\n

In honour of the Chinese Year of the Snake, we offer an extensive review of snakes, snake-like beings, and all things snake-tonishing in SF&F! And there are an awful lot of these slithering subjects!<\/strong>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Your Top Three!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

What are your top three very best<\/em> SF&F novels, short fiction stories, films, and television series? The cr\u00e8me-de-la-cr\u00e8me<\/em>! We\u2019re asking MonSFFen for their recommendations: the absolutely must-read\/must-watch<\/em> SF&F that they believe the best of the best! Desert-island material! The stories in one, two, or all four of the categories we\u2019ve outlined which others must<\/em> read or watch before they die; the most memorable, thought-provokingly intelligent, important works of superior SF&F, that which is of high entertainment value and overall quality! That stuff! Let\u2019s discuss.<\/strong><\/p>\n

M<\/strong>eeting Theme: <\/strong>In keeping with today\u2019s scheduled presentation, and in honour of the Chinese Year of the Snake, members are asked to bring in for our display table a cool snake toy, SF&F-themed, if possible\u2014rubber or plastic snakes, action figures, a game or puzzle; you get the idea!<\/em><\/p>\n

Spring is here, the snow is gone (we hope!), and so we\u2019re looking to see as many of you as possible at our downtown meeting hall! Bring a friend! See you all there on Saturday, April 12, 1:00PM-5:00PM!\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n
