First of all, we wish each of our club\u2019s members a happy celebration of whichever religious holiday they may be observing at this time of year, be it Easter, Passover, or another. But please<\/em> remember in these trying times to carry out your observance with family and friends in a virtual manner<\/em> in order that we all maintain this vitally important quarantine! Connect to loved ones by phone or social media, and let\u2019s keep everyone as safe as can be from the coronavirus!<\/h6>\n
This is just a quick reminder that MonSFFA has two on-going contests running at this time, our \u201cCartoon Caption Contest\u201d (deadline for entries is this Saturday!) and a trivia challenge! These contests were introduced via the club\u2019s Web site on April 4 as part of our \u201cDIY Virtual Meeting.\u201d If you happen to have missed that virtual meeting, you can still check it out at www.MonSFFA.ca<\/a> (see April-4 posts)! There\u2019s lots of entertaining and fun content there for your enjoyment!<\/h6>\n

Send us your submissions for a witty coronavirus-related caption by this Saturday, April 11! We\u2019ll pick and announce a winner, ask KGB to complete the cartoon by inserting that contestant\u2019s winning dialogue, and post the finished cartoon on Easter Sunday for all to see and have a chuckle!<\/h6>\n

Sci-Fi Trivia Challenge Contest!<\/strong><\/h4>\n
We\u2019ve also prepared a trivia challenge to occupy your time during quarantine; we\u2019ve set it up as a contest with points and prizes to be won! The contest will be concluded when all of this coronavirus business is over, the quarantine is lifted, and we gather together once again at a club meeting, date yet to be determined. Here are the details:<\/h6>\n
Test your knowledge of the inconsequential, obscure, inane minutiae of the sci-fi universe! Win points and prizes! Just print out this two-sided quiz sheet and write in your answers to these 19 questions. Bring your completed quiz with you to the next MonSFFA meeting (date to be determined; check the club\u2019s Web site regularly), at which time we\u2019ll have ready for you a final 20th question to wrap up the contest. We\u2019ll tally all the points and award prizes to our three top-scoring entrants! Non-club members are welcome to participate, too!<\/h6>\n
Note that out-of-town club members who, of course, will not likely be able to attend that post-quarantine MonSFFA meeting and answer our wrap-up question, are asked to return to us by e-mail (veep@monsffa.ca<\/a>) or standard postal mail (MonSFFA c\/o 4456 Boul. Ste-Rose, Laval, Qu\u00e9bec, Canada, H7R 1Y6) their completed 19-question quiz sheets; they will be entered in a separate group with other out-of-towners and a winner determined, who will subsequently receive by postal mail his or her prize.<\/h6>\n
