The Starfleet Academy Experience<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0provides cadet recruits with an opportunity to experience a \u201ccareer day\u201d at the Academy. In an immersive environment, recruits try out a number of activities to test their potential to train for careers as Medical Officers, Science Officers, Communications specialists, even Commanders. The experience is enriched with the actual science behind the science fiction as the participants learn about emerging technologies such as a functional tricorder, NASA\u2019s warp drive theory, and the latest experiments with phasers and teleporters.<\/p>\n

The world premiere of Star TrekTM<\/sup>: The Starfleet Academy Experience<\/em> has landed in Ottawa at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. As recruits at a Starfleet Academy Career Day, visitors can try a number of activities to test their aptitude for the Communications, Medical, Navigation, Engineering, Science, Tactical and Command branches. The Experience<\/em> brings Star TrekTM<\/sup>\u00a0<\/em>to life in a fun, accessible and immersive way with legendary characters, props and technologies, some never seen in Canada.<\/p>\n

Canada Aviation and Space Museum will host Star TrekTM<\/sup>: The Starfleet Academy Experience<\/em> through September 5, 2016.<\/p>\n
